John Herrick lives on the western side of District 31 in the heart fo Portland, He holds a B.A. and M.Ed. He is a veteran, a teacher, and an activist. John believes very strongly in the Ten Green Values fo the Green Party.

"I have been married for 26 years and have two grown sons. I am a veteran. I was drafted into the Army in 1966 and served as an infantryman for a year in South Viet Nam. In recent years I have been a member of Veterans for Peace and have been very active in that organization. I have served on numerous boards and committees ranging from an Historic District Commission to a community counseling service. I see this election as an opportunity to campaign for local and state social, environmental and economic issues and to advance the Green party in Maine." 780-6021

Green candidates and campaigns can help redefine the debate, raise the necessary questions, and provide voters with a positive, constructive vision for the future.

For the past tow decades, Mr. Herrick has been a school administrator, and English teacher, Director of a Middle school, Dean of Faculty, and Assistant Headmaster. He is also a partner in Learning Solutions. creating and conducting educational workshops.
