The 2026 Maine Green Independent Party Annual Convention will take place in Belfast on Saturday, May 30th. Registration opens at 9 a.m. Must be a registered Green Party voter to participate in the convention.
LOCATION ANNOUNCEMENT: BELFAST FREE LIBRARY
The 2026 Convention will take place at the Belfast Free Library. The address is 106 High St, Belfast, ME. This is a welcoming and accessible venue. It’s a perfect location for a powerful day of community, strategy, and grassroots organizing.
Suggested convention Registration fee
We recommend a donation of $20 for the convention registration fee. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of their access to resources. Donate what you can, if you can.

2026 SPEAKER LINEUP
LISA SAVAGE
Lisa Savage is a former US Senate candidate, blogger and activist. She will be speaking about the impacts of US Militarism on people and planet. Lisa is a long-time anti-war activist and Green who has been blogging for 20 years on US militarism, imperialism, and politics.
RIVERA SUN
Rivera Sun is an award-winning author activist from Northern Maine known for her work as a nationwide trainer in strategy for nonviolent change. She authored the prophetic Dandelion Trilogy, the Ari Ara series, and is the Editor for Nonviolence News.
DANIEL BROOKS
Daniel Brooks is an activist, cultural worker & public intellectual from Indianapolis who formerly served as the Minister of Culture for the Black Liberation Party. Daniel is also a published poet and writer.
